The other day i had to take a customer's 02 TL-S to get an alinment, so i told the detail guy that i would picked him up down the sreet. Now i have a 02 cl-p with 40,000 miles, 18's and an intake. The detail guy gets next to me at the light and thats where it all started.. he said, "Alll you think u can beat me. This is a TYPE S"... I just looked a him. So I did what anyone else would have. I put it in D4 (just to see what my baby could do) the light turned green and off we went.
I took him off he line and he started to catch up around 70mph than we cought up to traffic.
He was all aftened.... I than gave him a second chance. Feeling good about the first run we than went from a 15mph roll... i said 3 honks and he went on 2. That Dumbass felt good until we were Neck to neck and he pulled me by a bumper. not bad i thought but how am i keeping up with a type-s, I didn't know.
He rolls back and he's laughing his ass off....... Now I should've punched him in the face for being a DUSH but insted i said, "best out of 3." We than lined up again. From a dead stop I took off in D5 and i told him to do the same. I had him and than we were even up to 80mph.
I can't figure it out, why were we even. Has anybody else had this happen?
All and all i'm feeling GRATE!!! HAHA

Could it be the weight diffrence? maby the nitake i have? or maby the driver? or maby because the TL had 115,000 miles?

The detail guy had the cust's car (the tl-s). I never dog what isn't mine but the detail guy isn't the smartest + he's getting fired this friday, hahaha

yall are fgts for racing customers cars. see the valet thread for details. it doesnt matter if you were racing someone elses car or not, you could have been the bigger person and not participated in the activity with the dumbass.

I agree. don't get me wrong, i have worked for this Bobyshop for 3 years and nobody has done this to any of our cars, at least not while i've been their. but you know the detail dept. is the lowest paying part of any shop and the boss hires the GIFTED. SO please don't think i would harm anyones machine. I'm not that type of person. Althow when we get a ZO6 in i STILL drive it the limt as a festia pass me. Like i said befor it's not mine.

I found out that the detailer is buying it from the cust. sohappens its sombody in his family. he's paying 11G's. He's still saying that he pulled hard as sh*t from me and this was Monday people. Anyway it should have been a total from where it was hit.

for real, please tell us what body shop you work for so that nobody brings their car to you. I'm just saying you participated in the race, so are somewhat involved, i dont care if he's getting fired on friday or whatever. I know i dont what people racing my car when i take it in to get worked on.
i understand they may have to drive it, and i'll never know either way if they drove it hard, but if i found out i'd be livid. You came on to a acura forum and talked about how you dogged a customers car around(i know HE did, but you could have just as easily said "nah, i dont want to race, it's not your car dude". We all love our cars, just in bad taste. If i was the owner of this business you speak of i'd fire the both of you for being ass-hats.

first of all your CL-P would not have a chance in the world of even remotely keeping up if the douche in the TL-S had any idea how to drive that car. let me tell u exactly why u took him off the line....he smashed the gas, lost traction, vsa comes on and cuts off the throttle.

You my friend are also a douche for letting someone do that to a customers car whether it was an Acura or not. This is exactly why i dont take my shit to shops or if i have to, ill wait till they finish

This is why you just get to the main point and leave out the fine details in street encounters. Just like everyone here has never raced on the street or broken the speed limit you will get flamed if you have done something taboo. Next time just talk about the race and don't mention that you're racing against a customer car.

If it was my car i would be pissed, but come on he didnt kill anyone. Everyone knows that there is a chance some is gonna beat on your car when you drop it off to be worked on.You get what you pay for. If you go to some grimy shop with a coupon for an alignment than yeah some duch is gonna beat on your whip, If you go to respectable repair facility the chances of some kid spanking on your whip arent that high.
