I only use Honda Oil Filter OEM part number, 15400-PLM-A02. This filter requires a smaller diameter wrench.

Based on my own oil analysis tests I've had done to two vehicles including this one to total over 130K miles. Plus, a lot of my buddies and fellow car guys would agree.

To each his own.

easy easy... I was thinking about tear down comparisons, measuring everything and cost between 5 and 15 bucks. I agree that with frequent changes that for most folks any filter works. I just like to prove out which is "made" the best by comparing them to each other. I do the analysis thing also but I go 10k between oil changes and 5k for the filter.

Ahhhh, yea, I misunderstood you.

Wix filters are actually cheaper than OEM filters, that is, if the store that sells them doesn't charge a premium. Like you said, any filter does for normal ol' folks as long as changed on a regular basis.

I do 7.5K with oil and filter, haven't found any problems yet in any test.

Forgot what the part # is but I use the MOBILE 1 filter - the best. You can find it at autozone. It is the same as the 01-03 CL/TL's.

K&N Oil filters are excellent too! Though they are pricey at 10 bucks!
