Oil change gears

I am trying to find oil change ramp, not the jack I wanted to buy the ramp so I can get under my car and change oil on my own. Anyone knows any good sites to buy this kind of equipment, and also I am about to purchase some rims, I am wondering should I have the car balance each time I change the rims. They are both going to be 18's, does it matter. Thanks

I couldn't get mine up on ramps BEFORE it was lowered much less now. The front end hangs too low.

If these are the types of ramps you're looking for, then any autoparts store like Kragen should carry them.

Kind of OT, but what did you mean by "Oil change gears"?

I guess you mean gear.

BTW, the plural of that kind of gear is gear, not gears. /English lesson.

This looks pretty kool! Do you have one? Does it work well? So you stick the tube through the oil stick holder/check and from that you will be able to pump out all the old oil? The tube seems pretty small diameter wise. How long does it take to pump the oil out?

A couple thread on this. It takes about 25-20 minutes to suck the oil out.

You can access the filter through the wheel well. Just turn the wheel all the way to the right.

id say it takes 10-15 mins to pump the oil. turn the wheel, unscrew filter, screw in new filter, fill with oil. your looking at less than 30 mins to do your own oil change.

I say buy yourself a oil extractor and suck up the oil than turn your wheel to reach for the filter. 10 min max

How do you reach the filter by the way? From the top through the hood?

Well, it's been stated three times in this thread already.

I put a Ziplock over the filter so the oil drops right into the bag - very little mess. My brother uses old socks and slips them over the filter to absorb any oil and recycles the whole mess.
