Oil Analysis - Post ur Results

Hey I just got my oil analized ( yea I know) . Well I just wanted to see if others would post their results to be able to compare the results to others. Unfortunatly I have no way to post my results, so if someone would be willing to post for me, plz PM me.

I had that done on an older car that I once had.. it came back with too high copper content (I think it was copper) and they said the torque converter was gonna take a shit...

How they determined copper in my ENGINE oil as a bad torque converter, I'll never know.

BTW, the car ran fine for the next 3 years..... so I didn't trust those oil analysis places anymore.

Yea there's something wrong with my PC. I just checked it out on my friend's and everything is fine.

Thats wierd, I have double average ammounts of lead and tin (if I can remember, don't have analisys infront of me now) . I can recall that I am eating my bearings, I think N2O may have something to do with it  .

Sry guys for not sending u my oil analisys report for u guys to post for me. I've been having BS problems with my PC. Getting the scanner to comunicate with the PC is a whole other bag of $hit. When I get home I'll post my report the same way that fender did.

Yes,, had me concerned a little,, thats why I change the filter at at 5k marks,, now everything is back in spec,, the oil analzer techs reported that changing to synthetic to early causes the bearings take a long time to break in,, I started to use Amsoil at the 3900 mile mark,, go figure,, I should have waited to the 5k miles mark before using systhetic,, but everything is in line now,,, I'll keep testing my oil after every 20k miles,, (still I'm changing at every 10k miles) ,,, but remember I drive 25k miles yearly and almost all highway 65-80 mph's...

Alright Guys Here Is My Analisys

Engine has 40K on it.
The oil is Mobil 1 Fully-Syn 10W-30.
Oil Filter used Pureolator Pure One
Oil has 4K on it.

Element-----------Results---------Average Results
Aluminum--------3------4
Chromium--------1-------1
Iron-----------6------11
Copper----------11------10
Lead------------4------2
Tin-------------2-------0
Molybdenum-----61-------62
Nickel----------0-------0
Manganese-------0-------804
Silver----------0-------0
Titanium--------0-------0
Potassium------0---------1
Boron----------129-------55
Silicon--------11--------11
Sodium---------9--------14
Calcium--------2621-----1943
Magnesium------669------825
Phosphorus-----765-----963
Zinc-----------1589-----1515
Barium----------0--------0

Values Should Be---------Test Balues Were
Sus Viscosity @ 210°F------ 58-64 ----------46.9
Flashpoint (° F)------ >370-------275
Fuel (%)-------- <1.0-----------?
Antifreeze (%)-------0-----------0
Water (%)------------0-----------0
Insolubles (%)---------<0.5---------0.5

Take into cosideration guys, this oil was flushed out the crankcase with Motor Flush. Thats why the Viscosity and Flash Point are off. Also I feel that the reason why there is slightly more PPM of Copper and Tin was due to the Motor Flush. No Motor Flush does not add those two elements to the oil, but because Motor Flush is aggressive agent it caused some of the bearings to clean off more than just varnish, and carbon buildup. So what I am saying is I would highly recomend only using a motor flushing agent once every 50K, on synthetic oil.

Later we will be able to compare these results to the same type of oil with no Motor Flush.

I change my oil every 3K, I slacked alittle on this last oil change. Let the flaming begin .
