Oh Shit

Well, my dad decided that he wants to actually buy a car by the middle of summer AT THE LATEST. he has been thinking about it forever, so today i dragged him to a BMW dealer to try and convince him to get a 540i, even though he said he wants a Front or 4WD, 2 door, manual transmission car. Well that backfired. What did they have there but a display about the new Mini Cooper S. He wandered away, and I found him talking to the salesman there. He is now totally convinced that he wants one of those ugly suckers. Im pretty pissed. I knew I should have gone to the Lexus dealer . What do you think, is it an okay car? I don't know that much about it.

Mini Cooper S? Supposed to a fun little car to drive. I drove an original one in England (the old really tiny ones) and it was fun as hell. But, coiuld your dad handle it as a daily driver. I havent seen these new ones so i dunno. But, he will have a grin on his face everytime he drives it.

When I was over in London last week I saw a ton of Mini Coopers. The new model is really nice and I am pretty sure I will be getting my wife one in the next couple months.

I can’t imagine the same buyer in the market for a 540i would be considering a mini.
Money matters aside, it’s like HALF the size of the big guy.

Looks like a great “weekend” car, but I couldn’t imagine driving it to the office every day.

You should check them out on www.miniusa.com. If anything I would say its more of a daily driver than a 540. The come with more options than CL/TL does. Anywhere from Navi to auto windshield wipers.

Trust me, he wasn't in the market for a 540i. It was more like, I was in the market for him. I would love it if he would buy one, but he is an old farm boy (poor at heart) and hates to spend money WITH A PASSION. If it was up to him, he would drive a 1975 Subaru, but I won't let that happen. He isn't a big man (5'9"), so I think that would be okay. He was liking the C70 too, but his heart melted at the sight of that Mini. DAMNIT!!
