Offset question

Sorry for the repeat, but what's the lowest offset that is safe for 17x7 rims (not lowered) ???

I want some rims, but it's offset is 40. Is that too low?

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

They would stick out about 1/2" -- 3/5" more than stock.

If you didn't lower, if would fit, but I don't know who would "recommend it."

If you lower, if would depend on how much you would lower.

The normal offset would be +55 for a 7" rim, so 55-40 = 15mm and 15/25.4 goes to the outside.

Low offset --> sticks out

(once again -- what do I know)
