Offset???
What offset would in need if I bought 18*8 rims. this kinda was from anoher topic but no 1 answered. i have heard of 41? i have no idea. need help!

Ah yes, and would the 18*8 rub the inside if it were lowered or not lowered w/ comptech springs and sways?

As I understand it, you want to avoid having the inner edge of the wheel/tire any further in than your present 215/50/-17 on 17X7 wheels. Go to
www.tolan-hoechst.com/cars/tirecalc.htm 18X8 with 225/40-18's shows an inboard clearance of 0.301.. I'm planning on going with 18x7.5 225/40-18's for an inboard increase of 0.05 and outboard increase of 0.838; or 235/40-18's for inboard increase of 0.251 and outboard increase of 1.038".. looking underneath the front end, I wouldn't want to increase the inboard by any more than 1/4 inch..

Forgot, the above was with an offset of +45..
235/40-18 with a +41 offset would be an increase of 0.343 inboard, that's gotta be on the edge of working?
