Alright, I've been following joe80055's turbo build thread on the v6-p forum and he's gauging interest for his modified XS Power Turbo kit. Anyways, he'll be coming to LA to help me test-fit it on my CL-S 6-speed. He's also doing test fits on at/mt av6. He has a 99 TL w/ a CL-S6 conversion. He's confident in the modified kit that he'll warranty it.

Anyways, this thread will gauge interest and update on my test-fit. The kit will be done by end of April. Joe will contact mods about becoming a vendor. This thread is to see if the CL/TL owners are interested in a turbo kit.

How can he become a vendor of a kit that he is not the owner of, wouldnt XS Power have to become a vendor.

 

basically a member on this forum custom built a turbo kit, xs power contacted him and he sent out parts to xs power to recreate the kit for some money. took a year and they never gave him a cut. He didn't send him his redesigned piping, so the kit doesn't even fit. Joe is modifying the kit so it is safe and it fits. So basically he will buy the XS kit, have it modified and resell.

i'm telling you to get it since joe's coming down to LA to help install it on my car...

 

I'm interested depending on price, gains, quality etc...

How much is it going to cost me to get it?
What PSI are we talking about here?
And how good is the quality of everything (welds and all)?

 

i'm not selling the kit, this is just to inform that there will be a kit available in the near future. price is going to be around $1000 not shipped, but that's what joe's estimating. he's not making money from reproducing the kit...

 

So where in this kit is the "cheap" part that will break easily is my question..

the cheap part is that most of the parts are in the xs power turbo kit, mass producing the modified pipes which would be cheaper obviously, just need someone to weld. all he has to do is take off his and reproduce it.

if you guys want to read up on it its on the 6th gen accord performance section on v6--p....


put yourself on the list if you're interested. again mods, i'm not selling it, joe is and he will do everything legal according to az's forum rules when the time comes up

 

edit: joe's banned on az. so no resale on acurazine, not sure what the mods will do to this thread.

but he stated that he will do everything legitimate on becoming a vendor on other forums or opening up a website. or maybe having excelerate resell. all that will be cleared up in a few weeks.

 

i've been interested in fi in a long time. if all goes well for you then count me in. i got the same car as you. def want to see quality and performance first tho.

 

All you need is a $1000 for this kit? Or do you buy the kit, and then have him modify it for $1000?
