OEM Seat covers

My passenger seat heater broke so I'm gonna fix it in the next week or two but the bottom half of the seat has some sun / U.V. damage and made it very hard & its gonna crack soon so since I gotta take it off anyway I should do it all at once. Does anyone know if they still make oem seat covers & where to get them for an 03' CL-S?

You should do it all at once. Try acuraoemparts dot com or acurapartssource dot com. When you gonna put all back together use zip ties its saves alot of time and works good.

Be aware if you do replace the leather it will not match. It will be more of a gray color. This is the difference from new & already well worn leather.

Ya I know there's a difference in color due to fading but the leather in my car is mint except 1 3x3 spot you cant even see with the eye & my car only has 39k on it and garage kept. Its just that 1 spot that drives me nutz

Is the leather in our cars supposed to feel soft? And kind of grippy/rubberish? Mine is definitely not as soft as the BMW or newer acuras.

The leather on our seats isnt the best quality. Also if you look closer you will notice alot of the seat isnt leather but vinyl. On my seats the leather parts are fine but those vinyl parts turn hard and crack. I am swapping in aftermarket seats, rather than fixing the oem ones.

The seats in the CL-S are no means soft. Its by dsign to be tacky so you stick to the seats but I have a serious UV damaged spot its literally hard as a rock and if you wipe your hand across it it'll scrape your knuckles like sandpaper but if you look at the seat it looks mint. Be carefull with aftermarket seat covers and check out the quality of the material cuz I've done a couple that have fallen apart in less than a year. They use super cheap vinyl most of the time

I bet it is one of the small patches on the edge of the seat where your knees rest. I would even bet that it is the section by the passenger door. Once that hardens and cracks, there is no fixing it with leather restorer.

That is the worst part on my seat. The real leather sections stand up the best. Those are the middle sections of the seat.

No its actually the leather spot thats why I wanna replace it. its in the lower middle of pass seat where your left leg is. I would expect the edges or vinyl to f up but not the leather & its in 1 spot. It feels like sanpaper it scraped up my girls leg this summer when she was wearing a short dress
