I was just cruising and i came to an annoying red light where there is no car what so ever around... Then something with some NICE ASS HID pulled up.. i thought it was some kinda Audi/BMW.. NOOO itz a fucking Odyssey! I can here the muffler, i'm not sure what kind.. itz got side skirts or bodykit....It was NICE... looks lowered...
Then it starts revving on me... so i thought.. SURE why not.. i revved a couple of times... and I hit on it when lights goes green... I figured my 2.2 can keep up with 3.0s for a while and kill most 4cyl, i should be able to take on an odyssey.. I was sooo sorry i raced that thing... It must have put about 4-5 car lengths in between us....

Acuraman is right! The 2G Ody is about the quickest/fastest minivan on market, so far. Not only can they run mid-low 16s but can topout @ over 120mph (most minivan's are governed @ 112mph and under). Pretty quick by minivan standards.

However, I believe the Toyota Sienna runs identical 1/4 mile times but is governed @ 109mph or something.

BTW, was it 1G or 2G Ody?? If it was a 1G, you should have your license revoked. j/k

my mom has a Y2K Odyssey. we bought it new and like a 3-4 days later(after we took deliver of it) we(Dad and I) went and got gas in it. we were on a 5 lane road(if you count the turn lane) and this V-8 dakota(not the new style) pulled up beside us at a light and revved his motor to us. and we knew it was pretty spunky for a mini-van. so we revved back. the light goes green. from stop light to stop light it was dead even. which surprised me because I thought the torque on the V-8 would walk away but we hung with him.

 

It was a Type-R Odyessy.
