Odd tire/wheel noise @ 5mph

Odd tire/wheel noise @ 5mph

So checking into the parking lot today, i'm noticing an odd sound coming from the tires. Its a rotational sound really louder than "normal." And i'm not on the brakes so its not the pads squealing for replacement.

As i speed up a bit while in the lot, it does become louder.
But at highway speeds I cant notice a thing from inside the cabin.
And I would have to roll my windows down to notice.

I didnt get a tire rotation or wheel alignment recently but i'm due for 30k service tomorrow. Think i'll mention it to the advisor.

Any ideas?

Any vibrations???

Perhaps a steel belt broke in one of the tires? Hard to say without heard/experiencing the issue.

I'm sure they'll be able to shed some light on things tomorrow for you.

maybe bad tire(s)?

Did you get all the wax out your ears? maybe you're just now hearing something that's always been there?

Maybe a plastic bag, soopa, or other foreign object got stuck in your wheel well?

I had a similar problem...my noise started when i started to roll and got louder the faster i got...the loudest was around 60-70mph......ended up getting the wheel bearing replaced on the drivers side rear wheel

no vibrations. btw no soopa or foreign object in wheel wheel either

Ahmad, I appreciate the input. My noise seems to come from the left rear side too. Gona check that out tomorrow.

get the car going to where its the loudest, and turn left to right and see if it gets louder or goes away as you put load and take load off that sides wheels. might be what i had...but its all quiet now

Most likely a foreign object stuck in one of your tires. Check it out
