obx headers?...

obx headers leak?...

i recently put on the obx headers on my car..when i drive it makes this hissing sound..is that the resonance sound everyone is talking about? the sound sounds like its comin from inside the engine bay or around the catalic converter..could it be from a blown gasket?..anyone else with this problem?..please help me out..thanks!

dude, that blows. i still haven't put mine on, they're just lying in my shed. where did you end up getting yours installed?

No. The resonance is a buzzing sound that sounds like a riced out Civic (I get the resonance at 2500rpm+/- 100rpm). The hissing is a leak most likely. Take it back to the place that installed it and complain. Good luck.

Hissing is not the resonance sound. You have a leak somewhere.
The resonance sounds more like a moo from a cow.

gtkrocket..can that shop u recomemded check the problem..me and a friend instsalled it..i think the leak is prolly comin from the rear header

Does anyone know if the new batch of OBX headers have resonance?? I know some of the older series had that problem, but if I got a new set of OBX headers, should I encounter that resonance sound around 2500 rpm??

-Thanks, I really want to get them if they don't make that noise-

By new batch dp you mean Stone headers?

My take (which might be wrong) is that OBX realized that they had issues and released v.2 as Stone. I have sent both print and email messages to OBX whining about the resonance. "Not what I paid for" stuff. I have never heard anything back. Worth pursuing?

Only Nashua knows... (aka give me the waurantee)
