Now that's a strong tranny

September '01 Car & Driver - Supertuner Challenge

Peter Farrell's 3-rotor RX-7 stats :
600hp/450 lb-ft @ 15psi on pump gas.
700hp on racing fuel @ 25psi.
It still carries the stock 5-speed manual and stock rear end. The only part replaced was installing a racing clutch.

It rides on Volk SE37K wheels and Kumho V700 Victoracer Tires.

0-60 : 4.0 seconds
1/4 mile : 12.1 @ 123mph
140-0 in 6.4 seconds @ 658 ft (13.2" Brembos front, stock rotors rear w/ 2 piston calipers)

i love rex's...but im a little worried...when did Car and Driver start doin articles about good cars?

Well i bet they messed it up by comparing the overall feel to that of a BMW. Because there is no car comparable to a BMW.
