NOTICE: Acura-CL.com undergoing some temporary changes.
Over the next day or two we will be doing some tests to determine what minimum amount of bandwidth this site could operate on is.
During this period you will notice secondary forums (not Car Talk or First Gen) may be unavailable at times. You may also experience variations in the speed of our site.
Just wanted to let you know before ya all bite my head off tomorrow.

Soopa, this is what I do at my work day and night. Maybe I can help... ramiel408@yahoo.com
I can help you on the server config, load balancer config, and also save you some money on your billing. Web design is not my cup of tea.
are you doing any sort of load balancing... if so you may want to look into triangulation. Also, how are you being billed for your bandwidth... because a lot of companies cheap you out by billing by what's called '95% percentile' which is usually calculated incorrectly.
I can tell you about all of this and save you a lot of money... maybe. Make sure to ask your ISP of a tech spec of exactly how they calculated your bandwidth and bill it.
one way:
every 5 min, router is hit and timestap, Rx, Tx (receive and transmitted) bytes are captured and stored in a 30 day area of 5 min averages. Of each in/out number the greater is one is taken then put into an array which is then sorted from least to greatest. Next the top 5% is capped off and the remaining number is what they bill you for. This is the way they cheap you... most people don't realize this.
The way it should be done is that of every in/out number the greater one is taken... then put into an array ... sorted and capped top 5% next it is avereaged and that's the number you are supposed to get billed for.
Just let me know if you are doing load balancing, you are being hosted by insync.net which get their bandwidth from Exodus it seems.
Thanks,
ramiel
