Like fuzzy, I don't miss it overall, but do miss that I owned the rarest combo ever sold. For that I regret not keeping it.

1 of 13 (or was it 15) ever made. It was in great shape when I got rid of it, minor dents and a couple tears on the leather just from getting in and out of the car. Other than that it was in great running shape. In fact, the original clutched lasted to approx 150K for me when I had it replaced. If memory serves me right, I sold it at ~160K miles.

If anyone in CA wants to sell their 6 speed, let me know.

Looking for Black, Blue, Anthracite with black leather. Prefer under 100k too, but that might be hard to find.

that's funny, that's how i feel about my 3G too...and like mentioned before, I sometimes think I'd want more HP or RWD or better mpg or something or other...but then sometimes, I look back at my car and all the blood sweat and tears and think...are you out of your fkng mind! I love my ride...next wave of modding will be just doing all the maintenance stuff that normally gets overlooked...keep her looking AND driving as nicely as something coming off the showroom floor.

plus, like also mentioned, most of the little annoyances and problems I've had had been self induced.

Everything that has ever broken on my car was my own fault.

I had some really good times with the CL, but I don't miss it.

This is most likely due to the fact that I used my CL for different reasons than everyone else in this thread. I wanted my CL to be my weekend/sportyish car that I could call my baby. I started a new job last year that pays me pretty well. After I started making some good money I realized that I can upgrade this summer. I then started looking into Supra's. When I started looking into them and watching videos of them at the track (there's nothing I love to do more in life than race cars), I suddenly went from being obsessed with CL's to completing losing interest in mine. The main reason that did it was that the concept of front wheel drive started getting to me and I realized that I can really buy a much more effective car to weekend in by the time this summer starts. I have done countless research on Supra's and I'm sold. When I buy it I'm almost certain that I won't look back on the CL. However for you guys, you daily/daily'd them which meant you got to have use for all of the daily driver features that the car has like good gas mileage, reliability, etc. So there are so many more factors you guys have with this car to give credit for than I did. I just wanted it for the sole purpose of performance.

Did you really sell that car for $11.5K? WTF how did that happen? A sucker born every minute I guess. I got no where near that for my car.

someone with his moral fiber and integrity, would certainly never lie about the price he sold it for. I mean, look how honest and forthcoming he was about the condition of this car when he sold it. I'm sure the buyer was well informed....

If you possibly believe he sold it anywhere near that, hell over 8k, you must have alzheimer's and forgotten how he has never been truthful on virtually any subject. (this is no insult to you fuzzy)

His car should have been totalled when the last owner had it and blew out the airbag as the damages FAR exceeded a "replaced fender and airbag" as we saw from a recent totalled CL which did NOT even have blown bags.

I'd almost wager the car is sitting in the garage right now.

Back on topic,

Had I tuned my first CLS-6 when I was boosted and not blown the motor, I would have still been driving that car. Car was plenty of fun heavily modded but did have lil quirks here and there.

If I didn't get creamed in my 2nd CLS-6, I'd still be driving that one too.

Having car payments suck =X

Maybe it's just me but since you have proven to have no integrity and a great willingness to lie nothing you say matters whether its fact or opinion and as far as I'm concerned you should just log off the site and never look back.

For any auto CL owner who's reading this, the 6spd is a pretty damn solid car if you want something to daily drive but also have fun with at the same time

To this day I don't think Honda has made a better car than the CL for what it does. The Legend I'd say is right behind the CLS6 in terms of reliability but this is simply due to the Legend's age. Funny thing is, even when the CL is modded as an na it still appears to provide the same amount of reliability, almost the same gas mileage as well when driven appropriately.

The 6cyl 6 speed accord coupe is close. I looked at some new & used ones. They are a bit too much $ for what they are though. Might be why they are not popular sellers.

VERY true. You also have to take into account though that it still lacks some small features that the CL has. The CL also appears to be the better handling car stock vs stock (I've driven a few 7th and 8th gen accords). Not the 6spds though so they may have slightly better suspension.

The 6 speed transmission still has its weak points. And Im not talking about just what I had to deal with recently, but there are other members on here as well that have had to source replacements due to weak bearings. Im not naming names, as they have only mentioned it off the forums.

Right, but when you have 3,511 6-Speeds and all of the one's you hear about are on this board driven by enthusiasts, your bound to run into rare but existant, cases where someone has driven it abnormally hard and/or ran into bad luck. It's a probability aspect.

Agree, just cause 10 or under people in 5 years had a trans problem with the 6 speed for whatever reason doesn't make it not a great trans. Hey crap happens to good people sometimes.

You hear much more about the crap autos. Then again you only hear about a few that are on a original transmissions & doing fine.

167k miles on mine, original owner. Still squeaks 3rd gear on summer tires, original clutch. Been paid off going on 4 years now, gets 30mpg on the highway, and doesnt have any major issues. Does need motor mounts now, and the headlights are getting cloudy.

Best car I have ever owned. I will be sad when I have to get something different, as I havent found anything close to making me want to get rid of it yet. Its a beast in the winter with snow tires, paint still shines, and is still faster than most cars out there. Wish it had better brakes stock and a fold-down back seat, but otherwise I wouldnt change anything else.

Yes, because you specifically said even when the CL is modded , therefore indicating that your sample group is in fact enthusiasts, hence my input.

I'm just out of my 6 spd CL and into a Mustang auto. How many of you guys making the switch to an auto have worn a whole in the floor where the clutch is supposed to be?

I also got sideways the other night pulling out from a busy intersection, that never happened w/ FWD.

The thing I miss the most is the sudden burst of power @ 4500 RPM, that was awesome every time.

Yeah I did that for a week after I got my car. Had to learn I couldn't throw it around like I did the CLS because the TQ is just too high.

You are crazy. I know people are fanboys and all but you take it too far. I love my cl, but do you really think the cl is better than the nsx, s2k, integra type r, legend etc? I am sorry but those cars are better than the cl. For me the best cars ever made were ones that cost more to make then they sold for new like the s2000.

It literally took me a few weeks to get over my 01 CL when I got my G35 lol. It was so weird not having it anymore and still miss it to this day.

My G has tons more power and better handling than my old CL-P but there is something about the CL that I just loved. Even the little things like the pass mirror tilting down when I go into reverse is something I miss! Even my G (which is fully loaded with every option) doesn't have tilt mirrors. Why? Beyond me...

Looking back, other than the 3 Trannies (lol) my CL was relatively solid and reliable.

Oh yeah, all cars have their shortcomings...for the most part...nowadays, for what you are gaining moving on to something else...you are losing from what you had.

RWD and power...but lose interior and decent mpg and styling. Etc...always something.

I should have clarified it a little better. When I said "for what it does" I wasn't referring to strictly performance. I was referring to everything the car provides. For example, I don't believe Honda has ever made a car that provides the same mix of performance, luxury, safety, reliability, gas mileage, and comfort all at once like they did with the CL.

The nsx is the best daily drivable supercar(could argue porsche 911 also). Does that really mean nothing to you? The legend was better than the cl in the categories you mentioned. The build quality has gone down alot since the legend. All the cars I mentioned were big deals and leaders at the time they came out. I can not say the same for the cl.

Also the 3rd gen tl is basically same car as 2nd gen cl just with 4 doors and minor updates so not sure how you can even say cl is better than that.

Legend - Vacuum actuated doors. The same stuff Benz's have. What modern Acura has that?

And yea, I love the 1M. Good luck finding one. I was looking before it hit the market and they were only sending 1k to the states, 2011 only, and all were spoken for. The markup was insane too. But its one hell of a car.

For example the Lexus LF-A. Costs Toyota more to make them with R&D then their selling price for each unit. Therefore Brian says he feels those are the best cars.

Is there any published figures from reputable sources like Car & Driver or the manufacturers themselves, I never thought of something like this and its kind of interesting, and I'd rather not take people's word for face value.
