Hey guys,

My engine is at 143k on a 2001 acura cls. Over the last several weeks, a lot of my lights came on .... I'm not sure if this is normal maintenance thing or if this is something I need to have checked out.

All of these lights are on:
-Maintenance required
-VSA (both the ! sign and "VSA" are on) - I can't turn it off by pressing the VSA button
-ABS
-airbag light

This is sorta trippy. Is this normal for CL's or is something haywire with my ECU?

Something is most certainly wrong there. How's your battery, cables & ground connections?
Does you car drive ok? Could be the tranny is toast, or could just be a bad sensor.
Need more detail. Any codes? Most auto store will check them for free.
Has the timing belt been changed? Any other problems that came up in the past?

 

If it is the trans, yes, normal maintenance on Acura CLs.

 

pull any fuses lately? only light you dont have to worry about is the maintance req light.

by airbag light, do you mean the side airbag light?

 

Sounds like the trans, happen to me 2 weeeks ago, P0740 code..
Run the code..

Like Dan said the trans is normal maintence I changed the trans more times then the brake pads, 4 total, so yeah rebuilding the trans is normwl maintence every 40-50k miles!

 

trans mos likely on tl cl and accord
main relay being corroded or dirty or shorted too
