Is it normal?
My friend has a 01 Cl-S auto on his first tranny, with pretty much new stock tires. When he is driving at like 10 and gateshifts into 1st and then floors it, his tires chirp. Is this normal, I cant and dont want to do that with my car.

Chirps when it shifts into second you mean?
Or the tires break free when he presses the accelerator all the way when he's rolling along at 10mph in 1st?
If so, ya that's petty normal on the stock tires.

im not talking about shifting into second, its a stock Cl. I think his tranny might be screwed soon, his fluid doesnt look to good.

You have to be a bit more descriptive, from what you said i got...
the stock tires break free when he floors it starting at a roll from 10mph in 1st gear.
that sounds normal... stock tires suck, and slip pretty easy...
Now, if you said he puts it in 1st floors it and the engine rev'd up then the tranny grabbed all the sudden and the tires chirped... It would say the tranny is focked.
...
what about my second question...
almost all tranny failures start by the engine slipping into 3rd, and wierd shifts into second gear.

that never ever happened with my cl, or my other friends. Its not like a stock cl-s has enough power to chirp even the shitty stocks from 10mph or even 35mph which happens to my friend as well.

Sure, my stocks would do it pretty easy... Depends on the temperature, and the road surface.
While I have no doubts the tranny is going bad....
Does your friend have anything heavy in the trunk? use different tires pressure? fillup at different stations than you? lots of variables...
A heavy stereo box in the trunk removes weight off of the front tires.. .shitty gas will hurt power, and shitty gas used for more than 10-20k will hurt power long term from buildup...

i went in the kids CL. basicly it does it @ any speed in 1st gear. will do it going 10mph, or going 30mph in 1st. he can just bring the rims to like 4grand, then count to 3, punch it, and the tires still chirp. now i can understand doing it @ 10mph when the rpms and low, but how can he doing going 20+/4k+?
