Is this normal?

Whats up eveyone. I justpicked up my CL on tuesday and I drove to Florida later that night. I purchased the car in NY and As lame as this sounds I really couldnt inspect the car as well as I wanted to b/c of the friggin' snow. Any way my front bumper doesnt seem to line up smoothly. There is about an inch gap from the grill to the bumper. Is this normal? Also I noticed that I am missing thr litle black piece that covers the shift lock gate. The car had 7 miles on it so I dont think it was driven very much. I am just wondering if the car might have been repaired(meaning the bumper). The ride from NY to Florida was awsome. Once I got out of NJ the roads were clear. The Type S handles very well for my needs. I have the car 2 days and already over 1400 miles on it. Any way could anyone help me? Thanks in advance.....

Happy ... hey, your car is brand new, get all the kinks out as early as possible. Definitely get your bumper fixed!

Show the car to the dealer and get them to fix it. Just look at a couple of other CLs on the lot and see if they are better fitted. Shouldn't be an issue.

It was probably just messed up by the service clowns who accidentally hit a light pole while joy riding in it before you bought it ... j/k

I thought I was missing that piece too, but it was in a small plastic bag in the bottom of the glove compartment. Try checking there or the center console.

It's a plug that goes on the right top side of the shift console to allow you to put it in neutral for towing if nothing else works. It should have been put in by the salesman (at least mine did as he told me what it was for).
