Is this normal?

I installed some polargs for the roadlamps the other day. Today I got a pair of the piaa plasma blue for kicks, just to see how they look. When I was installing them I noticed some white gooey stuff around the wires and at the end of the housing, felt kinda like melted frosting, anyways. I dont think this is normal, but has anyone else noticed this? The bulbs still work fine though.

Actually that stuff is called like electrlitic paste or something. It prevents corrosion of the wires.

Yea i had the gooey stuff too..for a second i thought it was like parafin or candle wax stuff..hehe

but it makes sense as an electrical paste described by Chizad1980

I think it's Lithium grease. It can be used on electrical connections to prevent corrosion.
