non-factory navi system

alright i was doomed to get the first gen '97 3.0 CL
and there is no navi...

what aftermarket navi would you guys say to get??
is navi really worth getting?? its not like i travel a lot

the best deal i've found is the Garmin GPS V Deluxe.. not color but oh well :-/

http://www.onlinemarine.com/cgi-loca...401+1032181559

there they have it for $421 shipped... the best deal i've found.. nothing comes close

it comes with the maps (all of the zones unlocked) and 12 volt car adapter (i'd have to get one of those adapter spliters b/c i have my radar detector in the thing now )...

your guy's opinion??
thanks!

dont get that

get one of those pioneer headunit/monitor and hook up a ps2 and tv tuner

that way you get it all in one package including navi

i think a good $2500 will get you everything

i think the problem with that GPS system is that its not like the factory GPS system where it constantly updates your position

i think there is some lag between the signals

so it wont really be usefull unless you drive like 5 mph.

but you should do research about that...

the deluxe means that the extra maps DO NOT cost extra... but there is still the problem with limited memory :-/ but i dont think that'd be too much of a problem
out of 32 reviews 30 were positive

I have the Garmin GPS V and the thing is amazing.
For the price you can't beat it. It looks kinda funky on the dash
but if you get the good bean bag mount it's not too bad.
transferable from to different vehicles and you can take it hiking
or fishing or flying or boating.
