Anyone have any positive experiences having their transmissions rebuilt when out of
warranty and dealer goodwill in the NY area? What was the cost of the rebuild and guarantee?
Want to see if my local transmission transmission expert (bracket racer) will take
on the challenge and invest in the parts and techniques that would (finally) build something
that will last...

I am having the same problem.. Im in north nj and my car is sitting at open road acura they are willing to do 10% so my tranny will cost $4100 + tax.
I am ALSO looking for a rebuilder, I called a guy at ledgewood transmissions and he said worste possiple scenario would cost my $2700 thats the WORSTE!
He said that they use a upgrader torque converter that 2X stronger then the acura one that acura uses and offer a 3/36 warrenty parts and labor..
I also found this place but they are closed I emailed them, by the looks of there site a rebuilt cost $1400 and $500 to install so looks like $2000 but only offer 12 month unlimited miles warrenty...
