hey guys i am not new to this site but i had to redo my profile. first off i have to say since my purchase in january, my cl has impressed the hell out of me....A4's, 3 series, is300's dont stand a chance...i have walked all over them...i couldnt be happier...i have a white 01 cl-s....parts on the car include:

vis racing carbon fiber hood and trunk
tein basic damper kit
comptech intake
comptech cat back exhaust

sitting in the corner of my garage:
comptech swaybars
comptech headers

my question is since i installed the intake i have this noise which actually sounds like a squeaky belt but it didnt start until i put on the intake...could this really be coming from the intake? any of you have similar problems? thanks for your help guys....

The Icebox will should like it's sucking in more air than the stock air filter, but it isn't supposed to be too loud. I didn't have any problems when I installed mine. Is the noise coming directly from the Icebox, or somewhere else in the engine compartment?

 

the noise jumps...i thought it was coming from my intake but yesterday when i was under the hood it was coming from the belt area...i guess i should just take it to the dealer...oh and by the way...

i got this car because i didnt see many of them...but it seems they have relocated all cl's and tl's to central ohio....mainly columbus...the dealership where i bought mine has 6 or 7 tl's and cl's and one is a black on black 6 spd w/ navi....in fact as i look out the window of the panera i am sitting in...i see my cl and two tl's...they are everywhere here....

 

The list of mods you have will definately set you CL apart from the rest. They became a lot more common after I bought one and started to take notice of them.

It sounds like you need to just take it in and have it looked at. I've had my Icebox for about 6 months and definately no squeaking.
