Noise whle accel. 2500 RPM
So I just installed my alpha werks headers (horrible fitment by the way). and I'm getting a weird whistle, shrill noise.. It only happens when the car is in drive. Not there in park or neutral. And I can only hear it after 2500RPMS.
Any ideas?

Yeah, I'm thinking its btwn the downpipe and the CAT.
Fitment issues....I had to drill out the holes in the flanges to get the headers to fit over the bolts to the head.....once the headers were on (bolts not tightened) the downpipe flanges were off by over an inch. Had to use a lot of force to get both the front and rear headers to bolt onto the downpipe....had to push the exhaust forward about an inche to get the CAT to touch the downpipe and had to twist the the CAT to get the bolts to line up with the holes in the flange.
Over all, it was a pain in the ass to get these headers on. I would def. suggest professional install. I work in a shop and had airtools and all the renches and tools you can imagine and it still took forever, two people, and a lot of lovin, to get it to fit.
AND I still have some weird noise while accel...
Maybe I just have bad luck, but i would suggest Comptech over alpha werks dispite the price diff.
If anyone has any ideas about the noise, please post or shoot me a PM. It only occurs when the car is in drive.........weird

Did you replace the gasket to the flex pipe and the cat? Wow or it could be that you have to force it an inch to fit right, thats sux
