It seems like my car is invisible when it comes to racing.

Here's the deal. I want my car to remain a total stock look. No comptech stickers, or aem, or neon, or rims, or areo kits. In my line of work, I have to take clients out and don't think most of them would appreciate a ricemobile.

The problem is, no one wants to run. With a intake, pulleys, and headers, there are quite a few cars I could run with and a least hold my own. 14.6 @96.5 is not too shabby.

My old car was a Dodge Stealth with rims, tint, and plates that read "TYM 2 FLY". Hell everyone wanted a piece of that thing, minivans, UPS drivers, all the way up to ninjas. I guess I just miss the attention that thing drew.

Does anybody else find it hard to get people to race?

you can try the following to get people to chase you:

1. tailgate them (put highbeam on during the night)
2. cut infront of someone without signalling at close range
3. give people the looks and finger at red light

if all that fails, try circling around them if they are driving in the middle lane of a 3 lane road.

 

I have the same problem.......in my GTS celica, everybody wanted a piece of that, it was lowered with rims and common bolt ons. I think everybody basically thought they could beat it....ie. Si's GSR's, so they wanted a win.

In my Cl it looks more like a family car, so i try to instigate more races now, usually about one good race a week.....not some shitty car, but a good close race.

 

Maybe move outta Milwaukee...

 

dude dont knock milwaukee! its a cool town..and i get people challenging me all the time....maybe its cause my cl is lowered, dark tint and the token comptech stickers on the side windows... tons of rice boys try to fuck with me, i dont usually do anything though since my racing and speeding tickets a few weeks ago

 

Ugh haven't had a race in atleast 6months My car is lower, has an exhaust and agressive looking tires and still nothing. Maybe window tint would help?

 

Damn I don't have that problem...maybe because I live in Houston the street racing capital of the USA.

 

You don't need to be rice to get races.
Try just putting a little sticker on your rear or side window that says "sleeper".

Or get tints with some nice rims and keep the rest stock.

Try debadging everything and keeping that sleek look, sometimes you stand out just enough without the same old badges everywhere.

Try getting a vanity plate that says "U LOST"
You may get more bites then...

 

or how about a plate saying "TRY ME" or "RACE ME"

 

What part of Milwaukee are you from? We should meet up some time or at the very least go and hit the drag strip.

Northwest side! That's were I lived up until about a week ago. I use to live in an apartment complex on Good Hope and 107th, almost in Menomonee Falls. Small world man.
