No nav to with nav

The CL I bought recently is without nav. If I found one for cheap would it be easy to install? I know I would also have to get the different dash assembly as well.

Not at all hard...the most time you will be spending will be on the wiring and getting everything to boot up.

It's not really cost effective unless you can get all the parts cheap, & install yourself. It's not something that is plug & play.

Don't bother. The factory GSP system is junk. You'd be much better investing the money in a cheap Garmin and get much better directions or buy a nice headunit with GPS.

I don't want to get the nav for GPS only. I'm a techie and just like to have the most technically "advance" option. Not only that it looks better on the dash.

The factory navi is FAR from advanced. It's a 7+ year old system. The directions are horrid. Even with the latest map DVD you'll still find lots of addresses that have been around for years that don't show on the system. It'll tell you to go right then left then right then left a dozen times instead of just going down and taking one right. unclad4 makes a dash kit for double DIN headunits. Get something nice and new with a GPS and it'll be 1000x better then the factory unit. http://www.gigharborautoworks.com/

Well, you are possibly right. However I would like the look of the console to look OEM instead of modified. If I could get an aftermarket Dual Din Stereo/Nav that was flush correctly to the console and just looks like it flows with the rest of interior. I've seen people so call upgrade there stereo or some type of enhancement involving the console of dash and it just looks so tampered with.

this has been covered many times and we have a forum sponsor who custom makes double din bezels for your application.

Somebody ask the Mods to install a search function here it would really help people to find these things.

Thanks, you guys have been a lot of help. Sorry for the repost. I'm new, didn't see a specific search in the 2nd Gen Forum.
