No FX45 for me.

I went and took a closer look at the FX45. Some observations:

1. cargo room is small. unless i want to obstruct my rear view, the trunk of the TLS is bigger

2. it's still an SUV, seating position is tall (albeit lower than most others)

3. gas guzzler which is to be expected but not for a vehicle of this size

4. visibility sux. rear window is tiny and right rear blind spot is enourmous

why can't Acura build a TL Type S AWD wagon/sport cross?

Looks like the Audi Allroad is back on the top of my list for a family hauler.

FX45's 20" rubber will be crazy spendy, too. Looks great, but not on my credit card.

If BMW can get away with selling a SUV (X5) that's smaller than their station wagon (5 series), then Infiniti certainly has a chance. Wonder if they could make a 540iX wagon?

I'd like the allroad a lot more with the 4.2L V8 and a little less butch!

listen to this shit....
i live in a pretty affluent area where a lot of girls drive bmw's and a lot of guys drive audi's and stuff.
my friend's parents gave my friend a x5 4.4i but they decided to sell it and get him a fx45.
nice car, but i dont think its a good car for a 16 year old...

I sat in the FX45 at the dealer and i really liked it. Didn't get to drive it however the seating postion and overall fit and finish of the car were very good.

I almost bought the FX45 but my local dealers wern't willing to work with me. I decided on a loaded 03 V8 4runner instead. Plus, the 4runner will have better resale.
