No DYNO until JULY for me

I’ve been trying to hook up with a local shop here to DYNO my car since no one else with a 6-Speed has come forward to do it yet.
Problem is there is only ONE shop within 60-miles of me and they are booked solid until mid JULY !!!!
I have an appointment for Friday July 19th at 1PM.

You get the machine for ONE HOUR.
75-bucks for ONE car or 60 an hour if you have 2 or 3 cars running.
He said you normally get between 6 and 8 runs in.

Maybe someone somewhat local to me could meet me there and swap out front wheels/tires for a more accurate run.
Or we could run a 6-Speed and Auto “back to back” on the same machine for some CONCRETE evidence on the differences between the two engines.
The place is on RT-191 in Nazareth, Pa. just North of Rt-22.

By July I may have Headers or even the mysterious RES on my car.
Maybe someone else with a 6-Speed will have a “stock” run on the books by then.

Shawn I might roll up with you if this other place i'm trying to get to doesn't work out. I wanted to have a dyno done before PAA. I still have to call and find out. If it doesn't work then i'll go with you for sure.

I'm going early next week (just flipped 1000 the other day). Figured all the others here would beat me to it. Guess not :P

Shawn, come down to MD I'll get you a run at a shop around here. I'd even put some money towards it (usually around $75 here too, I believe, for a couple runs). I doubt they're booked solid through July like the lone PA dyno shop.

Yeah, that's where I meant actually. AAM should be good with it, I just have to see what kind of price the dyno would be.

No need to go as far as OC - AAM is up in Gaithersburg.

Follow the link 1gencl gave.

Btw, they specialize in Supras and 3000GT/Stealths so they aren't exactly a Honda/Acura mod house.

If I get a chance I'll call them today and find out booking and price, unless you want to go ahead and find out yourself. I gotta run to class now.

Unfortuntely bad news about the headers...

Shawn,
I don't know if you were aware of this, or not, but it appears the current CL Type S Auto Headers from Comptech will not fit on the 6 speed. I don't know if Comptech has any headers fabricated for the 6 speed just yet, but last I heard they were working on it. By July there possibly could be headers for the 6 speed from them, but unfortunately I would stay away from the initial run of these (Comptech is a great company, but there are still issue that could arise with fabrication that would not be Comptech's fault).

Just wanted to toss that in

JSuppi,

Yea, thanks for the info.
I had heard of this and I have no plans right now to buy them.

Supposedly Comptech made an initial batch of (5) for the 6-Speed and they are testing them as we speak.
I’m in line with many others here waiting for a 700-800 dollar alternative to Comptech.
