Just in case anyone is interested, I just ordered this tire in the

225-50-R-17 size. It is only $114 a tire at tirerack.com and they don't charge tax or shipping! I know Nitto is a good brand and the tread pattern seemed pretty aggressive looking so Im sure they will be a good deal. Also treadwear is 300 just like the stocks, which have lasted me about 23K miles.

what was the difference in price for the 555's? they are much better IMHO.......i have had both.

i didn't know that tirerack.com carries Nitto tires. Nitto isn't listed when you browse the brands that they carry. am i missing something here?

I think he meant discounttire.com. They are the only major retailer 2 have both free shipping and no tax...plus they carry nittos.

those tires are hard as shit. the 555's are soft, but I like the kuhmo's now ... sticky, and only $99
