Nitto 555 or Bridgestone RE750???

What are your opinions on these two tires?

The RE750's are relatively new and I have been havin trouble finding info on them. Here is some info on them:

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....=Potenza+RE750

I know the only problem with the RE730's were noise.

Here are the 555's

http://www.nittotire.com/tire_nt555_overview.asp

Let me know what you guys think.

P.S. T1's or S-02's are not an option.

Ela rea migalea - Oreo Simea .

The Nitto 555 have the largest contact patch of any performance tire out there. I have the article from an old Turbo magazine ('98 Aug) .

Turbo '98 Aug p.2
Nitto 555. 69.8% Contact Patch. The Biggest IN The "ZR" Class.

I can scan the article but I would need someone to host the pic....anyone?

Ohhh no I have the RE950's in 235/45/17 and they suck donkey balz!! I would try the 750's tho...im sure they are much better than the 950's. As for the 555's I have not messed with them before.

How did they suck?

I had them on my old lude and they stuck to the road and the reinforced sidewalling made corning that much more fun. Virtually no road noise and ran in all weather conditions really well.

And arent the 950s rated higher and better then the 750s?

here is my 2cents...

nitto 555 are awesome tires at first....but once you start wearing them out they are shitty.

bridgestone are good all around tires btw

i would honestly go with yokohama es100's if you were gonna use them for just daily driving. Some of my drifter friends use es100's cuz they are sticky enough to drift in and they a strong sidewall.

now if you want to spend a bit more i would STRONGLY suggest these. I got them mounted and balanced for $160 a piece and im running 255/40 17's

I'd agree with GREGSHIN the 555s loose lots a grip after signifigant wear.. Why not the T1s? out the door mounted and balanced and all dat crap for less than 5 bills... you bring 5 bills and you still gots enough to go down the street and get a jamba juice....

T1s are good but not the best... for what it is worth.

They might have done good on the lude but not on the cl-s. I had some falkens that wore out fast so I went with the 950's in hopes that they will last longer. Well they will but the grip sucks...when its wet...I have to give it a little gas...anything more and they spin...and the cornering is not there either...kinda mushy. I guess the CL just weighs more and has more power than the lude because I had also read that they were good but I think it was reviews from smaller cars like the lude. I think the 750's are ranked better than the 950's. they have better traction score and are lower on the UTG rating so they should be softer and grip better. Dont get me wrong the 950's seem good but not for out car. Just my .02

555's all the way. I have them on my car, both sets of rims i had, and the 555R's on my drag radials. They're the only tire i can slam 2nd gear and not spin for 2 seconds.
