Question Nitrous, TPS wiring...

Could I splice the black and red wire that is in the throttle positioning sensor on our throttle body for the nitrous? I figured this could save me the time in looking for the wire to splice in the ECU. Btw, what color wire would I splce in the ECU if I wanted to go that route. It being that my old wiring harness is intergrated to the new one and runs to the CLS ecu, it makes things a bit more scary for me to mess with. Thanks in advance.

And I did search, but could not find any helpful information.

When your car is completely off...check the wire harness. The TPS wire should only be putting out 1 volt as to the rest are 0 volts ONLY when the car is off.

You'll know that is the right wire and no worries after.

^^^From doing research...I didn't know that till today.

I will have to look when I get home if someone doesn't respond. I can find out what wire you are talking about regarding the ecu

ZEX™ Nitrous Compatibility Checklist

Engine must have a vacuum ported fuel pressure regulator

Throttle position sensor voltage must pass the following test:

Locate the T.P.S. (usually directly across from throttle linkage)

Turn ignition to on position (do not start engine)

Using a digital voltmeter, check each wire for a low voltage reading of approximately 1 volt.

Only one wire should have this low voltage with the throttle closed

While on that same wire, open the throttle completely and check the voltage reading

If your voltage reads 4.2 volts or higher, you are ready to install your ZEX dry nitrous kit

For future reference, it's the red and black wire on the TPS that you need to splice. The TPS is located to the left of the throttle body, on the throttle body.
