nitrous install

ive decide to throw my nitrous system onto the cl from my tl. but im adding an extra 10lb bottle, two psi gauges and a remote bottle opener (maybe two). im gonna be spraying a 125dry shot instead of the 100shot i had on my tl (that 100 shot blew my 3rd gear clutch packs on the dyno, o well, 6spd trans should hold up just fine)

for those wondering why im not going wet, thats bc im gonna go boosted and spray the 125 shot before the turbo so it can mix with the air better before going into the cylinders.

here are a couple pics in progress. my plan is to complete this by the first week of june.

bottle not installed but squash nuts installed (not pictured), still need to pass the illinois safety inspection when my cars done. and i dont think two nitrous bottles in the trunk will pass.

nitrous module/ system thing mocked up

one psi gauge in and another on on its way. switches on their way too.

also ordered a few fittings and last piece i need is the bottle and a few feet of ss line.

if you are using a dry type system if i recall you want the nitrous system as close as you possibly can to the throttle body if i remember correctly, and besides you might as well go with a wet system if you are gonna use that much nitrous...lol

it says to put the nozzle 6" away or a min. of 6" away from the tb. so thats what im doing. with a 100 shot on my tl, i broke the tires loose in 3rd gear (when i had it). so that was just fine for me.

lol Rajca ur a MONSTER bro!!... HP is a disease

I'm surprised phsycologists haven't proven that it's inevitable to want more HP no matter what you got.

Hope it's all hooked up proper, I would hate to hear that story.

Good work man!!

just need to order 3 more nitrous lines and i can start hooking it up

from left to right
left bottle heater
activation switch
right bottle heater
left nitrous pressure gauge
right nitrous pressure gauge

the top is for 3 gauges that will be for, A/F ratio. boost, either oil pressure or exhaust temp

of course CL-S6 pulled harder than the TL!

stock it has around 215whp, whereas a normal Type-S AUTO CL/TL puts down 195-205whp if you're lucky...and the CL might?? be a little more lightweight...

you're building a kick ass car, i hope you dont regret doing all of this on FWD platform...but it shouldn't matter.

idk if you've see it yet, but type in EXACTLY: "2003 acura cl type s turbo under booost" and you'll see a short clip of a turbo cl breaking traction in 3rd with 464whp [thinjims i think?]....probably what you can expect. i also have a video of same turbo cl vs. stock cl 6speed if you wanna see those compared, but i dont wanna take over your thread with videos, just wanna show the badass type of CL you'll have soon...

sweet. gonna search for it now. thats the power im after. be sweet if i can get that high on a stock block and make it last a while. so i can save $$ and build my engine.

my ultimate goal is to get around 600whp. then i will stop doing stuff to the car.

checkout PM for other video...

anyway, to stay on topic, this car is gonna be awesome, and i love the custom dash inset for gauges...you obviously wont need a radio anyway...nice!

damn 600whp, cant even imagine that for a CL, you're gonna need some serious tires.

You diffidently want to get a bottle warmer. You will see a 300psi difference when you put the bottle warmer on. You get your full shot when you are between 900-1300psi. So that bottle warmer make the difference. Also you are going to need a pressure gauge and purge kit. Do not run over 75 shot unless you can retard the timing and you are going to need colder plugs. You probably already knew most of this, I just wanted to throw my 2 cents in. dp

Damn! That is sick. I have a friend who was running a 75 shot on his '04 Accord and it kicked in at 3K. Holly balls could you feel it pull!

Well it was a 75 shot at 3K at WOT. That way he could cruise around and let the bottle warm (remoter warmer and opener) up or just use it as his dd and when he wanted it he just stepped on it.

your 2 bottles in the trunk reminds me of JohntypeS's car: he had 2 nitrous bottles in the exact same spots you got 'em but since it wasn't a dedicated track car, he hid them with 2 duffle bags around them! lol!

so the shop i went to only filled up one bottle with 8lbs. i had a leak by the gauge. i tightened it and all good. sprayed 100shot. power up the ass with this. i hit 138mph in about 1/4 mile if not a bit longer. 20mph roll. second gear spray. breaks over heated (still warped with heat cracks ebc dimpled and slotted rotor with oem pads) so i had to slow down with the trans. the power is amazing. totally diff car.

gonna go back to the shop to get both of the filled (ones not completely empty) but want them bot filled and picking up a 125shot if they have it. then hitting up the track sunday
