nitrous inquiry from the tl side ...

hello guys ... i would like to run an 80-100 dry shot, nothing major just at the track maybe once a month 3 to 5 passes. so far i understand that i should use the apexi neo ... now is it the main unit super afc neo & the boomslang plug/play harness that i need? ... or is there a cheaper unit than the main, that just adjusts the a/f that i would be fine with (with the harness still of course)? i'll be using a zex dry kit that activates on wot, & possibly a window switch to open it up at 2800-3k instead of at launch.
... i've emailed rajca , but his responses were vague, yet he did say that he felt adjusting the a/f was not necessary with an 80-100 shot...??? any suggestions, facts or help to set me in doing this the right away to not kill my engine would be highly appreciated ... thanks ahead & take care.

Zex dry never gave me a problem.
Do one step colder plugs and 100 shot.
trans might be the only issue.

yea of course the trans. will take a hit, but it's the 4 speed - way more reliable than the 5 speeds & i wouldn't be using it around town just once a month if that at the track. did you adjust a/f or no ?

The additional power won't kill the trans, the gears in those things are pretty robust, it's the shifting under WOT that will kill you. The clutches are under lubricated and get toasted easily especially 2nd gear pack on those transmissions. I am a guessing that the oil jet kit has been installed or the trans has been rebuilt using the latest specs from Honda if the trans is a Honda rebuild with external filter, it will handle the extra power no problems

...you're speaking of the 4 speed? or the 5 speed in the 00-03's ?

either one really. your title shows you have a 4at so I was speaking specifically to that one. The only real difference is the 5at eats third gear clutch pack. the hard parts are robust in either one but they both suffer from poor lubrication/cooling to a specific clutch pack
