nitrous, good or bad?
nitrous, good or bad?
hello everyone, I'm new to the forum, hope someone with expeirenece can help me out. I'm looking to buy this 1995 acura integra LS special edition automatic. The body has 185,000 ml. and the egine has 94,000mls. It was replaced at 138,765 mls.
The seller has the car hooked up to the max(in my opion) and he sounds like a trust worthy guy over the phone. My question is, he installed a Venom VCN 1000 computerized nitrous system. I was told by some friends that nitrous works better on a stick rather then a automatic. Is this true? The guy told me it has a chip in the engine where I can take off or put on whenever I'm using the Nitrous. Would I be able to remove the nitrous system if I didnt want it in the car? Would this be a hassle? What are the good and the bad points about having Nitrous in your car beside kicking someones elses butt on the road? Beside the nitrous, the car comes with AEM coldair intake, adjustable fuel pressure regulator with gauge, after market plugs/wires,KYB adjustable struts,Eibach sport srings, Leather inter, autometer gauges fuel pressure and nitrous pressure,17" racing hart 3 pc. rim with BF goodrich tires,Skunk2 Mega power exhaust. Also comes with a lickass radio system and the stock rims with tires. I've checked the car out on carfax and everything is legit. he's the 2nd owner. He's selling it to me for $5,300. He wants to buy a Subaru STI and is willing to take the loss of his car so he can make a down payment a.s.a.p. Does this sound legit to anybody out here? I dont know much about nitrous and that much about cars except tune ups and brake/oil change. Someone please help me out before I make a mistake of loosing a good deal or making a mistake by buying a junker. thanks yall.
