Nothing is "safe" for your engine... expect increased wear.

The general rule of thumb is 12.5 shot per cylinder.

Dont' forget that just like forced induction you'll have to have some type of fuel increase to go with that.

I haven't been around nitrous in a while but last I heard was that the ZEX kits were popular and "safe".

Zex is great. The full kit increases fuel pressure "when in use" to help aid with leaning out. It also has a sensor which cuts the nitrous when not at WOT reducing the risk of blowing your motor when it hits the rev limiter or when you cut the gas. The 75 shot is perfect and will kick you in the ass. Just make sure you put the right jets in

The Zex 75 shot dry kit works great. Everyone I know with NOS has that kit.

+1 for the Zex dry kit if you're looking for power on the cheap. As said above, make sure you dyno tune and get your fuel mix set up correctly.

Lean condition + engine full of nitrous = kaboom.

My setup on my old Eclipse:

Dont you need a perfomance chip to go wit the car, so you can tune your car for the nos when you want to use it? or do you just hook up the zex system and make no other mods? Help me out here

I have a NX 75 shot wet. If you dont want to spend the extra money on a V-AFC a wet shot is better.

Is there a big difference in wet and dry shots?
