id still rather go with a wet kit over the dry without real engine management. im not too familiar with the zex system, but i doubt that box is able to adjust anything if something were to go wrong, etc.. i guess for small 50-75 shots its ok though

Purge?

Does the ZEX system have a purge function? Arguably, that's the best part...I'd use that more often anyway. :-)

Fuzzy. Do you know the correct size plugs we need? Specifically the ZEXs brand, but if you recommend something else feel free to throw it out there.

My nitrous kit is slowly piecing its self together. I got a great deal on a used Zexs kit with remote bottle opener, bottle warmer and a nitrous gauge. Im probably going to order the dual pod for my gauges as a temp thing. Im not really sure if im going to like them there or not. May have to fiberglass something to my liking. Also ive scouted out an a/f guage on ebay.

I may be wrong but I feel as a small 55-75 shot with not require fuel management. maybe down the road ill toss a Apexi Neo in there for tuning reason but as of now I think I will be good. As soon as my toys get here Im going to mount up the bottle and run the lines. I wont start spraying intill I get those colder plugs in there.

I just asked a zex distributer what cold plugs I would need and told him my vehicle and he said that they dont know if cold plugs would be the best plug for my application. Im looking at the kit #82011.

But If fuzzy02CLS is saying we need them, then we need them.

What plugs did you guys purchase?

I'm not sure which ones were used I'd have to find that. They were direct from ZEX though.
I'm not certain you really need them, but all the info I searched out said it was better to run a slightly colder plug.

FYI the CT charger also needs colder plugs. So it does make sense.

82003-6 hyperformance from zex. they run about $40.00 for all 6. car runs fine with them without the nitrous and I dont really know if they are colder than regular plugs,it says on the site that they are specifically designed for nos applications but they do have a triple copper center strap design for better heat dissipation. anyways I could not run at the track because I need a nomex fire retardant jacket when running nitrous?? stupid rule. time to go buy a jacket..

Did you install the kit yourself?

If a shop did it how much was it?

At first I went with the Zex plugs. Then I changed over to the NGK's one degree colder than stock (6). Use 100-116 octane race gas only. And with my 3.0 I had bigger injectors, but with the J35 I am using the walbro fuel pump. This is on a wet kit btw.

I installed it myself and I believe over 109 fuel is leaded,at least out here in california and that includes VP and top fuels..and I really dont wanna screw up my oxygen sensors and other crap so I run VP 109 unleaded with a 80%(109) & 20%(91) for the slow and fast burning combo, works fantastic ..

To add to this, stock has the heat range of (6), so one degree colder would have the number (7) in it.

EX: PZFR7E-11 (NGK)

The first number is what you want to pay attention to.

For those of you that can't find race gas. You can go to your local hardware store and pick up Toluene, which has an octane rating of 116.

Woo. Early Christmas present to myself

Im not putting it in for probably after Christmas since the car is in the shop till Monday. Have to get the rear lower control arm replaced. The only thing holding me back from doing it is one bolt. It whooped my butt. Even one shop couldnt get it off. They were pretty pathetic tho.

Back onto topic. The bottle only came with a 55hp jet. Im ordering a few other jets with a new nozzle also. Ill keep you all posted
