Just thought I'd share, but I was driving today and I saw this car approaching me pretty fast in my rear view. It was a Nissan Altima SE. We pulled up to the light at the same time, and he was reving his engine like he wanted some. I thought he'd give me a challenge.

Either he didn't know how to drive or his car wasn't that fast, because I absolutely smoked him. Not even close. Anybody else raced one?

Yup. Running an Altima SE is pretty easy pickings but running a 3.5SE is a whole different story.

How are you so sure it was the 3.5 SE if you never saw his rear? That is the only way to tell the differnce between the 4 banger and the V6.

I say it was the 4banger since you walked him so easily. The V6 is no slouch and not so hard to "smoke".

It was a V6. I know because I raced him from one stoplight to the next. Then we both got on the freeway and he drove past me.

not to throw any salt into your game, but i'm simply a realist. I just ran a 5 spd. 3.5 altima v6 with a few mods and it was a hand full. Now given mine is a 5at (with all the comptech mods except s/c) and I only put a car length between us from 50 to 115 or so. i'm pretty sure the one you ran was a 4 banger. Did it have dual exhaust or single?

He had dual exhaust, chrome rims, and the car was silver...and it said SE.

Then the guy was an idiot, because auto Altima SE = high 14's, 5 speed = mid 14's. Thats with a good driver though. A newb can make any car slow.
