Picked it up on Thursday. It was a suprise for Mrs. Dog.

Only 120 miles on it, but the 4.7L V8 is really nice. Can't wait for the breakin. The MPG is nasty right now.

Yeah it does fit. I have never needed to, or wanted to TOW anything. But the other options I wanted for her, left me with the factory installed hitch and harness.

Yeah, They're trying to move the steel. I went back and forth with my dealer over the MDX. But they're very hot right now. It would be 3 months or so to get one. And even then, they are not budging on the MSRP.

In a couple of years they will level off, and I'll look into it again. Besides, my bride loves her Grand Cherokees. This is #3.

I did drive the MDX. Very nice vehicle, and probably better than the Jeep with regards to quality and refinement. BUT, the dealer would not move an inch on the MDX, whereas the Jeep had all kinds of incentives.

Drove a Highlander. Very nice again, but it didn't come up to the level of the Jeep and MDX. The RX300 was not in the running do to the fact that she doesn't like the styling at all.

ML320, with recent quality reports being negative. I decided I would be better off with the Jeep.

The number one factor!!! We had 4 months left on the other Jeep's lease. If I bought a new now, they would waive the payments and penalties with regards to getting out early. So I got out of the other one with 3 months left on it.

i would do a little research on your jeep there.
i heard from 98-01 that jeeps have had serious recalls because the tranny would just go in reveerse in the middle of driving or something like that.

Maybe thats why you got a good deal

well hope you arent one of the many with that problem.

I've done the research. You are right about the tranny issue. However it doesn't effect the new one, let alone the one I dumped out of.

Quadra-Drive powertrain has been a problems since it's introduction in '99. Most complaints are due to excessive noise, both in the rear diff, and the rear axle. There was a redesign for 2002. Let's hope it's fixed.

nice jeep and welcome to the acura and jeep family..i have a jeep also.but it is an old jeep..it is 92 jeep cherokee with 183K miles on it..i got it last aug ..i got it cheap but spend a lot of money on fixing it (mirror problems..oil leaks and water leaks..)..it does not have engine or tranny problems so far..(still on the stock engine and tranny)really strong..4.0 liter engine and the fuel consumtion is so terrible...need to pump the gas all the time..but durable and strong...and it is 4WD your jeep looks so nice and clean and luxury inside..really congrat to u
and i am consider to buy a jeep liberty.(if i ever have a chance to buy another new vehicle).i will still keep my xj..becuase it will worth nothing at the time trading it..

The Highlander isn't that bad IMHO, for a SUV. It's better than the 4Runner, Pathfinder, or Explorer.

rock dog, my lease on my 99 jeep GC is up in 2 months.
I know they have like $2500 cash incentive and a $1200
lease loyality anything else? If you don't mind me asking
term of lease and monthly payment? i can't believe they
let you walk out of the lease, are you sure they didn't roll
it into your new payment??
PS I've been wanting to get a MDX but the wife wants
