wats up guys. newb here on the site but not with cars. recently bought 2nd gen cl. couple of friends told me about the site and wanted to check it out.

couple of questions

wat are the lip kits that are available for the cl? i saw the ronjon one and that shit is sick!! kinda out of my price range at the moment though. any other lip kits? ive heard of the stealth and versus kit but nothing comes up when i google it. anyone have any pics and prices??

another question....which springs would u guys suggest? tein s tech or eibach springs? pics of how the drop looks on these springs would greatly be appreciated.

dont have any pics of the car at the moment and dont plan on taking pics till i have it dropped and on tl type s rims. car is completely stock now so no point in pics

Welcome! I always loved that body style Eclipse.

Lip kits that are a direct fit are the Versus kit and the Ronjon kit. If you wanted to be ballsy you could custom fab the 99-01 or 02-03 TL lip kit. Only a handfull have pulled it off. They are however, the nicer CLs on the forum.

just look around, i have a thread about the TL lip and side skirts...and there are some others that have a lot of really good pictures (my pictures suck.)

In my opinion the TL lip looks the best, but im obviously biased.

In any regards, just make sure its a lip kit, because all the body kits for the CL are pretty awful...in my opinion. Welcome!

 

seeing that i do have some money to spend on the car, i can buy the oem tl lip and just pay for my mechanic to have it installed. the dude is pretty sick when it comes to working on anything.

the TL lip is going to be hard to come by. I believe (And correct me if I'm wrong) they stopped making them. there are however "knock offs" that are fiber glass.

Its really not that hard of a DIY, its just a pain.

versus kit you can find if you type it into google. I think its on andy's autosport?

 

you got to custom fab it. its a FUCKLOT more than slapping it on... you'll have to search, they're pretty rare to come by these days...

 

young: welcome to Azine mang! as for the tl lip kit on a cl, check out lippstuh's (phillip) on the photo section to get an idea of what that looks like when done correctly.. as for your question on the springs, so much options on what you can get...for me, i'm on tein s-tech w/ tokico hp's (blues) car drop is about 1.7 - almost 2 inches. if i was to do things over, i would've bought coilovers, but didnt have the $$$ so old school way w/ springs & shocks was the way to go for me....

as for the tl lip, im gonna check out lippstuh's car and see how it looks. i def need to put a lip on this shit asap. i hate how cl's look stock. once theyre dropped, they have a completely different stance.

hopefully in 2 weeks time the car will be

dropped on tein s techs
grill painted black (leaving acura emblem chrome though)
02-03 tl type s rims (if i find new model tl type s rims, ill slap those on instead)
front lip
take apart headlights and smoke out the housing(same look as 03)
03 taillights
either the m3 lip spoiler or the oem spoiler (cant decide)
k/n intake

so i just saw lippstuh's car.....damn! that shit is sex. def getting that front lip first just to test it out and see how much of a hassle it is. really like how it looks with the tl lip.

Welcome to the forum... The ronjon kit is really the way to go... or the TL kit modded to fit. Those are the only 2 that look good IMHO.

ok. actually, now that i think about it. i wont cut it. instead, ill just paint that part of the lip black. ill have a buddy of mine photoshop it and see wat i like better. good thing is that i found a lip that i like at a low price

 

^Yeah, that lip looks pretty nice. I would deffinitly either paint that bottom middle part black or cut it out though.

dont look like theyre too wide. offset seems fine. plus, the guy told me he had them on a cl but the pic shows that they were on a g35....so not sure about that.
