unlock the car with remote #2, and then try and use key #1 = you cannot start the car.
(the inverse works as well, obv)

i mixed up keychains one day, so my second set of keys is hooked up to my #1 remote. so i just turn on the car using the Valet key bc im too lazy to fix the keychains. ive been using valet key for half a year now

ch-ch-check it out. if you unlock with the other remote it triggers the Memory function, so only the key on the same set works. unless one of my keys is just fucked up, b/c i havent used it in awhile due to my valet. but im pretty sure this is the case. someone wanna try it out?

I just tried it out, and either key will start the car, no matter which fob was used to unlock the car. I don't know if your key is just messed up or what, but everything works with my car.

I think your key is messed up. Also, how do would you know which key is which?

yup. tried the main key to unlock the door, and it doesnt work. but the key isnt bent or anything, thats strange. maybe its my old key from my 00 TL (which i gave back off lease). but then again did the 00TL keys look the same as the Non-S CL?
i think they may have been beige for the TL, i dont remember.

i think the non-s keys have a white Acura symbol, and the S is red.... but im getting off topic here.

Take a look at the part of the key that goes into the lock and see if they are the same pattern or not.

My S-type keys have a white "A" on them
