I have an alpine multimedia setup from my past car and i'm about to put it in my cls. does anyone know of any face plate kit for this car since it doesn't have the normal square slots. a littl of the subject but does anyone know if ssr gpo decolte rims will fit our car and if it comes with a polished finish? i had a set before on a dark green car, i had the polished lip and silver finish won but think a polished set would look better on a silver car.

I believe Crutchfield.com can't carry Alpine but they do have tons of adaptor kits.

I got the Alpine in my Maxima at a local dealer: Al and Eds Autosound: Car Stereos, Alarms & Electronics. They installed an Alpine and could have left the Bose speakers (if I wanted one repaired). I opted for some MB Quartz speakers. Fit was perfect, grills entact, even dealer didn't know the speakers were changed!

I already have the alpine stuff but i was wondering about a face plate kit. if i put my stereo and dvd player in the dash it will have open gaps all around it since the cl has a stereo that isn't a rectangle.

Chances are you will probbaly have to have one custom made. If you can find a guy that does good custom jobs (fabrication, etc.) than that would be the way to go.

If you were in Houston I could give you the name of the guy that did mine (just the EQ addition into the 'notepad' slot) but it looks spectacular. It looks seriously stock.

Call around and see who does it, and then try to see some of their work. If they don't have work to show you, then go find someone else. You spent a great deal of money on your car already, so don't let one person screw it up.

Oh yeah custom works probably going to cost you a pretty penny, but if the person who does it is good then it will be worth every single penny of it.
