Nope, the OEM werent good enough. How am i posing? Am i trying to conceal the real identity of my acura by putting acura emblems on it ? Is 1killercls a poser since he has red ones instead of OEM?

So what's the RSX supposed to be? I doubt it was "supposed" to ride on 19s with a 1/2" of tire. Is it allowed to have a "fart pipe"?

White is tight. I'll leave the red to the taillights.

It's an air ride, not a lowrider. My normal driving height is close to stock. Actually rides like an old mans cadillac. And yea, the fart can came with the exhaust. I do respect everyone being different. I just dont agree with honda emblems on an acura. Same with toyota emblems on a lexus, etc etc.

im not hating on his CL, i think it looks great. Im just trying to say that everyone has different tastes and you shouldnt complain about somthing so small like changing badges.

I for one never want to see everyone modding the same, then every car would be boring as fawk to look at.

I don't think he was really complaining, just voiceing his opinion that he didn't like it. Then everyone else has to put their $.02 in on how he is wrong, blah blah.

I'd be boring as fawk is if noone ever voiced their opinion.

My car was 100% made in japan.. my car has been where i want to go

so if i change my taillights and badging, then thats ok to you (katana) in your book cause my car came from japan? right? right? im gonna go hit up ebay y0!

the only reason they changed the name is because the japanese respected the fact that pontiac had the GTO in america before mitsubishi did.

or atleast get rid of the splitters. There is a guy in my complex that has a RSX-S that has all the JDM shit on it along w/ a real type R motor. Now he can floss the honda emblem all he wants IMO. But all his shit is true jdm, not some knock off.

Besides...I'll see him at the meet...we'll have the First Annual Emblem Throwdown 2004!!!!!

I dont know too much about 3000GT's, but u're saying they made all the 3000GT's over in japan, and brought em here on boats? Or that all the parts were made in japan, shipped over, and assembled in the US?

i have friends in the industry and go often, the laugh at people who want to go over there so bad thinking it's just like a rice rockets paradise. They say you rarely even see fixed up cars, and only if you go looking in the right places. Although they did bring back some sweet pictures of them at Jun, Spoon, Blitz, etc. But if you aren't in the know you ain't seeing that shit.

Miss Ivtec I like your wheels they look good...personally I would of gone with lightweight 17"s for speed....but that just me.

I have to agree with Katana on this although I think it is alright for people to do what ever to their car.....if you put a pic up it will be criticize. I have seen some fucked up hoopties riding around and makes me wonder why nobody has said anything.

If I put a fast and furious wing on my Benz I expect somebody to say what the fuck is a matter with you....it comes along with posting a pic. I think Katana has modded his car and looks complete. MissI vtec has a nice car but its incomplete due to the mismatch paint and some 4x4 action.

sorry just my

Lou

I took my "knock off" JDM parts right off a container full of JDM engines, front clips, and accessories. I had this kit over a year and a half ago before it was available in the States. I told our distributor what I wanted and he packed it up for me and put it in the container with the other items. It came directly to us from Japan.

What part of that makes it a knock off I don't know. It's not like I have the Type R badging on my car....THAT I can understand.....

I do think you are right.

However, I thought the majority of all honda motor corp cars are assembled in the US these days? I'm pretty sure your diamond star was assembled over there.

I just dont think it'd be cost effective to ship thousands of cars over to the US.

I like the 97 style grille the best with the winged (??) style Acura emblem. It looks like the newer CL/TLs.

probably not. probably why my base model was 28k, the vr4 was over 40k, and they discontinued it in 99.

the vin number stars off as JA3Am54

im pretty sure the JA means japan.

the original sticker says it came into port at brunswick, GA, and then was trucked over to tennessee where the first owner bought it.

yeah my civic was built in ohio.

the only thing i could brag is that it was made with japanese parts. LOL

which is why it really pissed me off after 9 11 and everyone was like we need to support american businesses.. so people stopped buying imports for a while.

It hurt my dad directly who worked at honda, and i can only imagine that was felt through out all japanese dealerships and plants..

its like well good job, you just hurt a lot of the working american people who needed those jobs..

Hmmm........why would it come into port in GA? I would figure CA. Something is fishy there.

It's prob cheaper to take a ship all the way around through the canal than truck the shit across the country. CA/west bound cars prob do come to port in CA.

come on its not so bad....alls you have to do is keep the car a little dirty so the two colors blend better and for the wheel gap drive around with atleast 4 people in the car to weigh it down,

as far as my contribution here is a tip keep going to school and forget spending money on your car.

Thank me later

Lou
