You guys all complain about the SMG...but you wouldn't in stop and go traffic. I'd rather have the SMG anyday. I'm even fine with an auto, as long as the car has balls. Mmmmmm...RS6

what kind of coilovers did u get? what exhaust?

any gains from the exhaust, or is it simply to get rid of the m3 sound which isnt exactly loved...by all...
You are correct, the shifter looks tall to me as well.......it could benefit from a SSK (from UUC or the like).

I got the PSS9 Bilstein's and the Eisenmann Meisterchaft SUS exhaust (expensive but nice)....basically good for sound, lighter weight, and maybe a couple hp.

Shawn...the 645 is hot, but yes at $70k its a little much on the wallet for one car.

Yuppie.....whenever you want to go for a ride is cool with me.

Thanks again for the comments.

awsome..

i've heard LOTS about the Pss9 coils, would i be correct to assume that the SS stands for stainless Steel?

i wonder how your exhaust sounds...can u describe it? how did you feel about the stock exhaust note?

No updated pics, I'll get some soon......I'm lazy with car photos. I had the same Viper photos for years.:o

I'm selling the coilovers because I have $1200 tied up into them and are going to cost around $400-$500 to install (install, alignment, and corner balance).

That's too much to put into the suspension on a leased car (of course I realize that now), the exhaust I'm going to put on though.

it's pretty easy to install coilovers. and an alignment can be had for less than $100.

Going to a high end race shop to have coilovers installed along with having an alignment and corner balancing done costs at least $400.

I could have some import shop with a bunch of punk ass 18 year olds put them in for less but would prefer not going that route.

turbowhat.......your 16 and have an 04 TL? Be happy my friend, your not far removed from being in diapers. What are most kids at your school driving?

finished with physics (well, almost)... half the school (of 2000 people) drive trucks... there are 15 bmw 3's, 10 audi's, 10 Mb's, 15 lexus's. The eye catchers are the 2 corvettes (1 of them a very shweet black z06)... 3 current generation M3's... 2 H2 hummers.

There are 3 350z's and 3 G35 coupes... Plano West Senior High School has 2 main student lots... ive seen all of the eye catchers, but ive only seen like 10 bmw 3's in the parking lot i am in, so i was guessing there should be about 5 in the other lot. Some other kid has a Silver 04 TL exactly like mine. There are also about 15 mustangs... many are GT's, there is a Mach1 and there is also a Cobra. During October, the number of IS300's in my parking lot increased from 3 to 7 for some strange reason.

edit: i have never really scoped out the entire lot of cars... if anyone in the DFW area wants to scavenger hunt the lots let me know if you find something new!... There is a kid that changes cars every day, sometimes he drives his Trans Am Ws6 and sometimes he shows up to school in a Escalade with 20 inch spinners (probably his mom's ride)...
