New PB!!!

Sorry I didn't see any of you up at LACR last night. It was a great night of racing.

I got a new PB.

light .806(ooops)
60ft 2.247(not my best of the night, but .11 better than my previous PB)
1/8 9.518@74.087
1/4 14.812@91.726

This was my last run of the night against a 99+Stang GT. I got the win!!! Corrected using the tracks NHRA approved conversion for altitude it convert to a 14.34@94.48. With a better 60 ft, I'm shooting for a 14.7 next time.

I also ran a LS1 Camaro SS Auto. One of my GTP buddies told me to bet him. No way I said, I'm not stupid!!! Well, the SS was running with a passenger that looked close to 300lbs. SO that would help, but still, I thought no friggin way, especially being an auto. I knew he couldn't screw up his shifts. Well, unfortunately, I redlighted at a .44, but I ran a 14.9 to his 15.0. I guess some people can even screw up driving an LS1 auto at the track!!! Felt good. But then I was humbled by a nice guy running a SVT Cobra(96-98) with 373 gears on slicks. I cut a .550 light, but it didn't help me any!!! His 60 foot was 1.809!!!! He went on the a 13.3!!! Thats 12s with just gears and slicks at sea level!!!

Anyway, I'll let you all know next time I go out to play to see if you would like to see the big 4 door boat run the 1/4.

Thanks guys. I never ran mine stock at sea level, heck I haven't ever run it at sea level. From the guys that I know that have, the consensus seems to be 14.7-15.1. The majority seem to be 14.8-.9. There are a few factory freeks that ran below 14.5, but I don't know those guys personally so take it for what its worth.

When I was stock, I only made 4 passes, and my best was 15.42 at LACR, that corrects to around 14.9. This was with a 2.3X 60ft, so I know the car would have done better with someone who could drive. I figure it was capable of a 14.7 to maybe a high 14.6. But since I couldn't drive that well, it is just speculation. I'm getting better though. Hopefully, next time I can get a 2.15-2.2 60 ft, and get an uncorrected 14.6. Its strange, but on my car, when I cut .11 from my 60 ft, I picked up around .3 in ET. I always thought it was .1 off of 60ft gets you.15-.20 off of ET. I dunno, but I liked it.

It was fun ending the night beating the Stang, when I pulled back through the return lane which passes in front of the bleachers, I got a few thumbs up.
