New Orleans Jazz Fest
I was in NOLA for JazzFest last month. The main stage was sponsored by Acura. Cool.
Near the side of the stage there was an Acura Hospitality Tent, with free food, etc., for Acura owners. Cooler, still.
I tried to go in, but was told that I had to have an invitation. Not so cool.
Well, being the smooth talker that I am, I got in anyway. I explained that I was down all the way from Noo Yawk, that I'm an Acura owner, and that I was all by myself. Po' me!
After I got in, I talked with a couple from San Antonio. They said they got a letter inviting them, and they knew a lot of people across the country that got those letters, and that the invitation included tickets to the festival and the hospitality tent.
I didn't get one. Does anyone know anything about this? I'd like to get an invitation next year. How do I make it happen?

I also got the letter. I think I go it because I live close. But, Jazz Fest is one of the last places that I want to be. Too many people for me. I went once and I don't think that I will go back any time soon.
I hate going there...way to crowded and hot (but not this year thanks to the rain)

And, yep. It was certainly crowded. And, I'm normally crowd-phobic. But, the tunes were so awesome (Lenny Kravitz, especially), that it was worth it.
And, I wanna go next year. And, I want the free tix from Acura.

I have no idea how I got on the list...I just got it in the mail. If you go next year PM me and if I get them again ill give it to you. I will never go again to that. I have ben and didnt like it much. I rather voodoo fest...in october...weather is much better
