New Mods???

I decided today that I am gonna start modding and kind of confused as to what I want to start out with. Any suggestions? Basically can spend 6-7 hundred without kicking myself in the tail too much. Also its gotta be something that will not void the warranty.

chod...it's time to add maggnusson moss act info to your FAQ page....

no mods void warranty unless the dealership can prove the mod is the reason for the failure...i.e. if you add springs and your shocks fail, youre not covered ...add springs and your tranny fails your covered...

For the $ i'd go with sways and intake. You'll improve your handling, add some H.P. and alot of attitude !!

I'd buy a rim and start saving for three others

I think springs and sways work great together as a very noticeable difference when added. I would definately get any of the cold air intakes out there if you don't mind a little more of an aggresive sounding engine. But maybe start with suspenion. You'll feel where you money went and maybe after driving it around some twisties, you'll start to realize that there's another $200 somewhere for that C.A.I

I think you'll enjoy whatever you pick!

out of all the mods ive done thus far, i think i enjoy the exhaust the most.

the best value was probably the springs.

BTW you got NOS in the BMW now? Sweet...where did you put the button inside? That'd be great to have it purge out the front of the grill.

I like a lot....of the CL-s that I've seen that have been lowered with Comptech but had stock wheels....I don't like them very much, the drop almost looks to low. But I think yours looks just right with those rims.

I called the dealership where I bought my car today and asked about buying the comptech springs....they wanted $335 for the set and $546 for the labor Are they trying to me or is this a good deal? I really wanted to have the dealership do it if I decided to drop it. But like I said, the comptechs just look a little to low to me.

F*CK springs why not go for an all around better ride.....Koni Yellows you can lower your car with them and firm up the ride you are basically getting all the benefits of springs/sways/shocks for the price of one. $600. And yes I have a pro-kit, CT sways, and Koni yellows. Springs are good but screw up your stock shocks as well as tires (from camber) after a while. CT Sways are all right, don't do much when your shocks start to go. Koni Yellows hmmm, they help with Lateral sway as well as weight transfer( you get a better launch) and if you have them installed on a lower perch setting they will give you a drop too

Thanks Nole, i'm glad you like em. I paid $299 for my springs from Autocarparts.com. I had them installed at my dealer along with the Koni yellows for $400 total. So that price is way too high in my opinion just to install springs. Good luck.
