New Member :)

hey guys, my wife and I just purchased an 01 Acura CL-S with 117k on it for 4800 from one of the nurses she works with. Its in real good shape, no dents, no tears in the leather, tint, car drives well, shifts well (read about all the transmission problems), overall its just a gas saver but still a fun car for us both. I normally drive an excursion and she has a tahoe. Anyway, I've been reading some of the posts theres great info on here. Anyway I'll try to get some pics up by the end of the weekend. I've already lowered it on Tein Coilovers. The timing belt was done at 100k, is there anything I should get done minus the regular stuff, brakes, oil etc? Thanks!

Welcome to the board.
What was replace during the timing belt service? Water pump, tensioners?
I would do the obvious stuff, oil, tranny fluid, ps fluid, brake fluid unless they have records they've all been done.

Original transmission?

If so, I would start putting some cash away for the eventuality that it will go (and it will go).

lol actually had the coilovers from an accord I had, and I've always worked on my own cars, so I said what the hell, and low and behold they fit like a glove . Had to trim the strut sleeve a little but that was it hehehe. "lol about trasHmission" im guessing you guys have forked out money because of them?

NSXNEXT, I saw on a different posting that was titles "high mileage CL-S" there were a few guys with original transmissions up near 180k+ mileage, is it pretty much you either have a good transmission or a bad one?
