New MB CLK

Whatdya think guys? Personally I think it looks too muh like a C-coupe w/ a full size trunk. But, then again the only thing I really don't like about the C-coupe is that fugly back end. It is supposed to be, brace yourselves, all-wheel drive and 6-SPEED MANUAL!!!!!!!!!!. Also, it is gonna be the new baby cl-class (you know, the C-class=baby S-class). So it is gona have things like vented seats, ABC (supposedly), etc. I hope it goes into production like that. btw, the AMG is gonna share the same engine as the c and slk amg!

I agree, the back end could be better.

I like it! Alot! They all do sort of look the same but look at the front end of Buicks... the Century, Lesabre and the SUV (san't spell it) look similar.
BMWs have looked the same for the past 20 years. I can't tell the difference between an M3 and 330i... without looking at the badges.

I like it too. I think it looks real sleek. I'd like to see more pics though, especially showing the back.

I dont think looks on mercedes matter much, once u sit inside and take it for a ride, u wont want to get off it. And no other car seems worthy enough to be called a car unless is mercedes or better.

I like it and the spec’s, but I probably won’t like the price.

I like it but I liked MB when they had a variety of headlight and grilles, rather than making all the cars with the same style in different sizes. It gets a little redundent and hard to tell one from the other until you see the whole car. I like to see the car from far away and say, thats an E class, or whatever it is.

Agreed! It's called "brand identification". The idea is that a 3-series driver is more apt to go to the 5-series, if the change is not too drastic. Manufacturers want you to be able to look at a car and say "Oh, that's a Mercedes"

BMW is now trying to differentiate thier models. Anyway, Audi is now the worst offender. The new A4 looks WAY too much like a mini-A6

Here is the new 7, looks "different" from any other BMW.

Saw a few different new CLK pics awhile back, different angles of the above car.....whats great is now we can have the $90k CL look (not totally there, but close) on the $50k CLK- thats certainly a plus. The new CLK with a sport package will be very hot looking.....we shall see on the quality issue.
