New MagnaFlow exhaust and high flow cat
Just wanted to post some quick picks of the new exhaust (MagnaFlow 14814) and Car Sound direct-fit high flow cat. I chose these because I wanted slashed tips and didn't want them sticking out past the bumper. I'll post some better pics in the photo gallery once I wash and wax.
The shop custom mandrel bent and welded 2.25" stainless steel pipes from the cans to the Y-pipe (stock diameter is 2"), I wanted bigger pipes incase I upgrade the B-pipe later on down the road, hence the larger flanges.
Random Tech cat compared to the Car Sound Cat

Perfect fit, no welding, drilling out flanges or o2 extension required

So far, no CEL and I definitely feel the gains from the new cat. Not too loud, but definitely louder and deeper than stock, with no droning...daddy likes!!

What's the diameter of pipe on the cat? Is it 2.5"? In the first picture it looks bigger than the RT but on the car it looks smaller than the header collector. I was thinking of getting the RT cat but I didn't like the fact that it was for a cl-p and had smaller pipe dia. than the header collector and the Comptech-b pipe.

I made this funny video comparing a stock Accord cat to the RT cat, its not very scientific but you know how it is. Its embarrasing to watch, but I thought I would post it up no less.
Seems like the RT cat has less catalyst which has more potential but the O2 bung is further back and requires an extension, which I would sell, should I decide to sell my kit, since I need some more cash to complete my SC kit if I end up getting it from this one guy.

That looks great man. I really like the slash tips vs. flat. Let's get a video up here so we can hear what it sounds like. I might end up going with the same set up on my Accord some day.

Thanks for the compliments, BTW!

Yeah, it definitely doesn't sound that raspy in person, but the sound on this vid does sound like doo-doo. I might have placed the mic too close to the pipes. Anyway, I'll post another vid once it's been driven for a while (sounds a lot deeper when warmed up).

anyways, i'd like to see a clip of it when u reshoot it or something =]
did u throw in an aftermarket resonator?

Nah, I still have the OEM resonator. I was worried it would be too loud with an aftermarket one. Once my MagnaFlow's break in, if I want something a little louder I may weld in an 18-22" MagnaPack. But right now I love the sound.
As far as price, the shop owner was a friend of a friend, so he only charged $250 for the 2 cans and cat + labor and install was about $200 for mandrel bent SS pipes and hangers, mounting rubber, gaskets and hardware.

^ I got it from the shop I had the work performed at. I know www.hottexhaust.com has it for $197 and they usually have sales going on.

any difference btw. the rt cat, car sound cat, and the magnaflow? I know about the rt cat, but nothing much about car sound or magnaflow in terms of performance although they all do the same thing.

Car Sound and MagnaFlow are the same, Car Sound owns MagnaFlow. As far as the differences, I've heard the RT cat flows a little better, but neither company lists the flow characteristics. I chose the Car Sound cat for the price and because it is a TRUE direct bolt on.
