1. those things are pretty ugly IMO
2. you cant pass by a cop at night without getting pulled over. yellow bright headlight are just asking for trouble more than any other HID you can put on ANY car.

6000k for the low beam and 3000k for the fogs. they would be illegal in the lowbeam area but you shouldnt get into any trouble if you put them in the fogs.

also, that seller... is a member here

I don't know...How can they be real HID lights if they are only 3000K? I bet they give off alot of glare & reduce your vision. Also agree they are a ticket magnet.

they actually give off less glare than a 4300K thats why yellow lights are common in fogs...

The 3000K only denotes what temp they burn at. Just because they burn at a lower temp. doesn't mean they aren't HID. HID is a way of producing light not what light is produced. Really these bulbs are only a 1000K lower than some factory stock HID temps. But I agree with most on here they don't look at clean as say the blueish glow of 4000K or higher HID bulbs.

IMO 3000k is not rice...its very very JDM. a lot of the high endurance cars i.e. lemans cars run the 3000k HID. i still stand firm that they would look good as a fog, but thats just my opinion. as for low beam you guys are right. its quite impractical. im considering modifying the headlights by retrofitting a bosch HID projector system where the highbeam is right now and outfit the projectors with the 3000k HID system. then i would aim the beam really low so they would act as fogs from the highbeam position. i think that would look pretty sweet

its all about taste bro, just like you like the 3000k, i perfer higher, i love blue being that is is my fav color, and the purple seems to project very well but if i was actually going to get something for street i would get 6-8000k

well i know its all in what you like...but its just a fact that anything over OEM 4300k decreases in light output measured in Lumens...if you want color just get colored halogens and save money

was it white one with kit, lowered, wheels? if so, he has a yellow tinit on the headlights... not the actual 3000K hid bulbs.

I think 6000k or 6500k are good for some extra bluish color without sacraficing too much visibilty. (6500 is more of a purpleish/white). I've seen 8000k in a 300M that has projector lights, and you can tell how poor visibility is even from outside the car. sure they look cool if one is coming at you, but they light up less of the road.
