Here is the screen of the SW to test the offsetting several signals. This is using a portable DAQ system but will provide ideas on how to fool the PCM into thiking the conditions are not what they really are.
If this works a simple circuit will be designed to simulate this function:

In this case I am using software (Visual Designer) and hardware from a company, Intelligent Instrumentation, to perform these tests. The software is graphical based not unlike LabView (for those who know that), but quicker to develop with.
BTW, all I am doing is reading the (not even in this case, this is simulated) analog signals and coverting to engineering units by way of the old linear equation, (remember 8th grade math, Y = MX + B)

Can you offset the sensor signals to the ECU?

What will occur is to read in the signals and convert to real engineering units. The sensors signals are fairly standard analog voltage signals. By reading the voltages in and retransmitting them a baseline can be performed.
Then I can implement an offset, all through my laptop (this is only for tests and requires a PC) and test for changes.

BTW, I'll have real data next week once I get the DC adapter back for the A/D equipment.
I'll do some 0 - 60 pulls while logging the data before and after modifying the signals. The data recorded will not represent gains or losses, it will show what occured during the sessions.

Looks nice Steve!
Are you going to use the A/D (input) combined with the output D/A to provide a "complete" input-to-output "re-mapping" of the signal data or are you going to just monitor the data (I'm familiar with the LabView stuff).
I was wondering if that was the case, can you also remove the slope/offset mapping for a "table based" mapping if you so desire? (Or at least be able to provide some "conditinal limits" if desired?)
Finally, did you ever find any "AutoTap" software that you liked (so you could watch the trim tables and clear any possible codes during testing)?

I'm debating on whether using a set value or a percentage of the input as the output to the PCM. I'll have the original signal fed to the output normally, through a multiplexer, and switched to the moddifed signal based on TPS level threshold, probably 75%+.
I have looked at a couple of packages similar to Autotap but haven't made a purchase. But I probably will need to as I have a feeling I'll trip a few codes doing this testing.
